Here come the tan lines
Another Pday gone by. Let´s see, I got to run on the dirt track in the morning which was dope, even if we did wake up early. We made a friend with one of the dogs there. We named her Jack and changed it to Jackie after we realized the dog was a girl. Then balled out with Gustavo, listened to some awesome music, called my family (ABBY YOU ARE AMAZING!!!). Then today we started intercambios. So I am with Elder Pienhiero de Brazil and he is new. So I´m the senior companion for the day! I´m actually way hyped. We taught a lesson on the power of hope, contacted a few people and returned to the pension.
We had intercambios today. It was interesting. There was a lot of contacting and I taught every lesson. It was cool to see how much my spanish has improved. But no one wanted to listen to us today, so it was a little frustrating. But we just keep grinding! Then we taught Angelica about the Book of Mormon. The Book of Mormon is true! Then Elder Wood returned and we passed on Analia. Taught Alma 31:5 - super cool scripture. The góspel changes us more than anything else can! Then we passed for Giovanna but she wasn´t home. But then she came and knocked on our door. It is weird talking to people not in church clothes, lol.
Dude today was dope! Visited Rocio, Gustavo and Teresa. Bought Ice cream for a member´s birthday, we bought some too. Then we taught Juan, the owner of Sei’Tu, and his wife english and share a message of temples. We want to be their friends first and teachers second. Then we taught Belen and her friend in our favorite kiosco. When you really get to know someone, it becomes that much easier to share a message and really show the light of Christ with people. Then the Misión president sent a letter to the whole misión about how we need the Book Of Mormon. It is so true! The Book of Mormon is so powerful in our conversión and others around us.
All over the place today. We went and taught the book of Enos to Rocio, Gustavo and Teresa. Then we visited Hermana Padilla (she has these awesome little knitted animals). Then we had to go get some food for someone we´re teaching because they are in a tough situation right now. We taught some more English to Juan and Mika and they gave us free ice cream! Then finally we went up and visited Giovanna. We talked with her for a while, then we taught her about the Book of Mormon.
Today was a lot of walking lol. We looked for some fake glasses because the wind here is insane and my companion thinks he would look good with glasses, lol. Taught some more English to Mika and Juan. We taught them the word YEET and Juan really likes it (YEET). Then we zoomed across Choele for 2 Noche de Hogares (family home evening), but one fell through. The other one was with Rocio, Gustavo, Teresa and Pablo. We played a game called signs. It was so much fun! We related it that we need the whole gospel not just part to find our way back to God. Then we talked to Giovanna some more and she is really liking the Book of Mormon! YES!! And of course we had alfajores today.
The one day I forgot sunscreen…I am now officially classified as a tomato. We went and help Milton weed his yard for a while and shared about the Restoration of the Gospel. Then there was a freaking huge spider; at least for me it was huge. Then we set up an English class, I practiced some hymns and we contacted. But we did meet Aurora who is super nice! Hopefully we can pass by her again. Just keep grinding!
Today was super dope! Fast Sunday so the morning was super chill. Then to church and all the members had really got testimonies today it was awesome! And Flor came to church today! Her family is so adorable! Then me and Elder Wood got to stay with the primary today cause I´m playing the piano for the primary program. I would just like to say my primary teachers are all saints for dealing with me lol. Then after, we planned our week and we are gonna grind like crazy! And we passed by a bunch of members today telling them about the Capilla abierta we are going to have. Hermana and Hermano Padilla are the best! Love the Work! Love the People! Oh and I´m eating mac and cheese right now so I´m winning.
Spiritual Thought: D&C 6:33-37 - This was my seminary theme (yeah that´s right. We are throwing it back to seminary!) It is such a powerful set of verses. When we follow the lord “earth and hell” can combine against us and we will still win the battle. I love all of you and so does our Heavenly Father!
